Searching name for explorer robot on Mars

Through a call, the Space Agency of the United Kingdom seeks to name the explorer robot that will look for signs of life on Mars, which is part of the ExoMars mission of the European Space Agency.

The rover, which is expected to come out by 2020, will be the first of its category to move around the Martian surface and drill the ground to determine if there are signs of underground life, protected from solar radiation.

In addition, it will collect samples and analyze them with state-of-the-art instruments, this turns the robot into an automated laboratory that will travel along the surface of the "red planet".

"Mars is a fascinating destination, a place where humans and robots will one day work together to acquire new knowledge and seek life in our Solar System," said ESA astronaut Tim Peake.

According to the ESA, the rover will touch the ground on Mars in March 2021, during its mission will use solar panels to generate electricity, with the aim of surviving the cold nights with batteries and heaters.
